Owners Wendy and Dan are avid sailors with experience aboard both modern and traditional boats. Our pets share in our boating experience. Wendy is a lifelong sailor and circumnavigator. Having moved ashore, her interests have expanded to gardening and nautical yard art. Dan is a lifelong sailor and handicraftsman with a strong interest in sea traditions. We provide you with a variety of products to tempt your imagination and improve your boating safety. 

Having circumnavigated the earth in a 37’ sailboat before the GPS was available and affordable gives one a great amount of appreciation for the GPS and other navigational equipment. Bare bones navigation is not for everyone but it still can be done with basic equipment and is fun and rewarding. The new electronics make it easier.

We sail our small sloop up and down the river, and wind shift and change is the norm. The electronics pick up the variation faster than we notice and can give us a heads up.
